Computers! - How to assemble a computer(back to computer page)

When you are planning to purchase a computer, you should first find out your requirements at present and what would be your requirement after 1 year or so.

  1. Processor: For normal purposes 2.0 - 2.5GHz processor is quiet good. Pentium dual core processor 2.5GHz is quiet good.
  2. Motherbaord: Intel Motherboard are quiet costly though they claim good performance, but ASUS motherboard are also quiet good and much cheaper than intel. Purchase motherboard which are compatible to the processor, memory etc.
  3. RAM: Purchase 2GB RAM, it solves most of our regular work. Only softwares like that of animation will need higher processor and RAM.
  4. Hard Disc: Seagate hard disc are regarded as one the best hard disc.
  5. CD Drive: Normally DVD -R/W are avaialble in the market. Inc ase you are not interested in DVD R/W, then purcahse CD R/W, in which you can also open DVD.
  6. No need for floppy drive
  7. Cabinet: Cabinet should be heavy and big (proper cooling). Wide range of cabinet are available in market from Rs 800 to Rs 5000 in Delhi.
  8. Monitor as you wish
  9. Keyboard - There are two type of keyboard, one with mechanical keys is costly (tik tik sound with every key)
