The A*STAR Youth Scholarship is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Folow us on facebook:

NOTE: IN Astar 2014, 2015 there was only one exam centre: Delhi however in 2013 there were 4 centres.

Student appears in A star scholarship in class 9th and all the formalities are completed by December when they leave for singapore for 4 years studies.

The number of scholarships is not fixed and it varies as per the quality of students they receive. There can be 10 scholarship or 20 - it is decided by concerned authorities. It all depends on them. Which is basically decided by the students applying for the exam.

This is indeed one of the best scholarship available in India, something which is even better than NTSE, KVPY or any other scholarship - in case you plan to go for higher studies in well reputed universities all over the world.

The aim of the Singapore Govt is to select best thinking minds all over India. In brief you should have good command over English, good reasoning skills and good in Mathematics.

Student must score above 85% in English and other subjects in 6th, 7th and 8th class. If student has qualified in other scholarship exams/sports meet/ debates etc, then student or his/her parents should start making their records as it will help student a lot in the interview.

The total expense paid by the Singapore govt for the studies and for other purpose, if converted in Indian currency will sum upto more than 25 lakhs in 4 years plus the exposure, vision and confidence for the next big thing.

Request to old students: Kindly send us the questions asked in written exam/interview. Also mention the exam pattern, level of difficulty and other details.
